Chandigarh – Continuous heavy rainfall has triggered landslides and flooding in several regions of Himachal Pradesh, causing widespread damage and distress.
Reports from Kullu indicate that local streams have overflowed, creating dangerous conditions. In Dhalpur, a woman was reportedly caught in a landslide, while in Manali, two people sustained injuries due to rain-related incidents. Old Manali has also witnessed an overflowing stream, further compounding the crisis.
In Ani, a massive landslide led to the collapse of a house, while in Kinnaur, the sinking of a road forced the closure of National Highway-05. Gurudwara Colony has also experienced heavy landslides from the nearby hills.
