Gurugram: In a late-night operation, Gurugram Police engaged in an encounter with armed assailants accused of the high-profile attack on Haryanvi singer Rahul Fazilpuria. The exchange of fire took place in the Wazirpur area, where police intercepted an Innova car carrying five suspects.

According to officials, the gun battle erupted when the accused opened fire on the police team. In retaliation, security personnel returned fire, leaving four of the suspects injured. Each sustained bullet wounds to the leg, while the fifth was taken into custody without injury. All five men are now under arrest, and the injured have been admitted to a hospital for treatment.
Police sources confirmed that around 18 rounds were exchanged during the encounter. The arrested men are the same accused linked to the July 14 attack on Fazilpuria, when unidentified shooters fired at his Thar vehicle on SPR Road in Badshahpur. The group is also believed to be behind the murder of Rohit Shaukeen on August 4, an incident that unfolded in front of Palm Hills Society on the same stretch of road.
Officials said investigations are ongoing to establish the wider network of the accused and to probe possible connections with organized crime.
