Chandigarh: Haryana Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda said that a degree is not merely a piece of paper, but a symbol of the hard work, dedication of students, sacrifices made by parents, and the faith reposed in them by their teachers. He said that daughters are no longer behind in any field and are making significant contributions to the development of the state and the nation. He added that the convocation ceremony reflects the growing awareness and impact of women’s education in rural areas.

The Education Minister was addressing the second convocation ceremony of Government Women College, Jhojhu Kalan, Charkhi Dadri, as the Chief Guest. On the occasion, he awarded undergraduate and postgraduate degrees to 650 students and wished them success in their future endeavours.

He said that the Haryana Government is committed to promoting girls’ education and ensuring their progress in every field. It not only imparts knowledge but also equips individuals to face challenges and achieve success in life. He said that educating a girl benefits not only an individual but also strengthens families, society and future generations.
