Chandigarh– Under the Haryana Government’s ‘Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana, a special train for Takht Sachkhand Sri Hazur Sahib, Nanded, Maharashtra, will depart from Sirsa on May 15.
Sharing information in this regard, an official spokesperson said that senior citizens above 60 years of age and having an annual family income of less than Rs 1.80 lakh can avail the benefit of this scheme. Eligible persons can register on the Saral Haryana Portal till May 10. Applicants can complete registration for this free pilgrimage either through their nearest CSC centre or from home using their smartphones on the Saral Haryana Portal.
Eligibility for availing the scheme
The spokesperson said that applicants are required to submit certain mandatory documents under the ‘Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana’. These include a valid photo identity card such as Aadhaar Card, PAN Card or any other government ID, Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP), a health fitness certificate for travel, and a declaration stating that the applicant has not availed the benefit of the scheme during the last three years.
The spokesperson said that the applicant must be a resident of Haryana and should possess a Parivar Pehchan Patra. As per the scheme rules, a person can avail the benefit only once every three years.
The spokesperson further said that after registration, applicants must inform the District Information and Public Relations Officer (DIPRO) office in their respective districts so that the details of eligible persons can be sent to the Railways on time. Registered applicants must provide this information to the DIPRO office before May 11.
