Chandigarh: Haryana Public Works and Public Health Engineering Minister Ranbir Gangwa said that the state government is continuously working towards strengthening the road and transport infrastructure. The government aims to ensure smooth traffic movement on major routes, reduce traffic congestion and provide safe and better commuting facilities to the people. In line with this objective, administrative approval has been accorded for the construction of a flyover, including approaches, at Jind Bypass Chowk in Rohtak.
Ranbir Gangwa said that administrative approval of Rs. 91.97 crore has been accorded for the project proposed by the Haryana State Roads and Bridges Development Corporation (HSRDC). The project will be implemented by HSRDC under the NCRPB loan assistance scheme.
The Public Works Minister said that the route carries approximately 10,000 to 12,000 PCUs of traffic every day. This includes mixed traffic comprising different types of vehicles, including cars, buses, trucks, tractors and two-wheelers. Traffic movement at the junction is affected due to vehicle crossings and turning movements, resulting in delays for commuters.
