Aanadpur sahib: On the occasion of the 350th martyrdom day of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji, the world-class arrangements made by Punjab’s Bhagwant Mann government in Sri Anandpur Sahib have set a new example of good governance. These arrangements were praised not only by devotees, but even political opponents were forced to appreciate Chief Minister Mann’s good intentions and public service.

Usually, we see criticism on political platforms, but the quality of Mann government’s arrangements during the martyrdom ceremony surprised everyone. The biggest proof of this event’s success was that even a strong Congress supporter stopped in front of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann himself and said, “We are Congress supporters, but we praise you. The martyrdom ceremony arrangements made by Mann government have won the hearts of the sangat.”

This response shows that the work done under Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s leadership is such that it has become proof of true public service, rising above political differences. This step by the government has proved that ‘do work in such a way that even opponents are forced to praise.’

Devotees said they had never seen such arrangements before. One devotee thanked the Chief Minister directly and said, “I have been coming here for many years and have never seen such wonderful arrangements. There is every kind of facility here, including arrangements for staying overnight. Thank you!”

Fulfilling the spirit of ‘nothing is above sangat,’ Mann government provided extensive and high-quality facilities for devotees. Mann government set up three huge tent cities with capacity for more than ten thousand people, which had excellent living arrangements. Along with this, 24-hour langar and high-quality cleanliness were ensured.

Additionally, free buses were arranged for sangat coming from far away places and free e-rickshaws were provided at the ceremony venue. Giving priority to health services, 24-hour free emergency health services were provided including 19 ‘Aam Aadmi Clinics’. ‘Nigah Langar’ was also set up for free eye check-ups.

Strong security arrangements were ensured, with deployment of more than 8,000 police personnel and surveillance at every corner with high-tech cameras. To provide knowledge of history and heritage, spectacular drone shows and exhibitions with QR codes were organized, which gave the new generation a chance to connect with Sikh history.

These world-class arrangements were not just services, but an attempt to show that no stone would be left unturned in honoring Guru Sahib. Personalities from art, music and cinema also appreciated these arrangements. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann proved that work done with good intentions and dedication to public welfare and service always receives praise, and when the government serves with Guru Sahib’s support and shelter, it becomes an unforgettable experience in every devotee’s memory.
