CHANDIGARH: Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema, chairing the Cabinet Sub-Committee on employee issues, held a series of high-level meetings with various employee unions at Punjab Bhawan. He reiterated that the Bhagwant Singh Mann-led government is committed to the time-bound resolution of pending employee demands and is working on a structured mechanism to ensure employees receive their rightful dues without legal hurdles.

During discussions with representatives of the Theka Mulazam Sangharsh Morcha and several other unions including teachers, clerical staff, nurses, and medical practitioners, the Finance Minister assured that all legitimate issues would be addressed on priority. He also directed concerned departments to expedite action on department-level demands and emphasized that administrative processes in several cases were already underway.

Senior officials from the Finance, Personnel, Health, Local Government, and other departments were present during the meetings. Cheema held detailed consultations lasting several hours, reviewing the status of various demands and instructing officials to ensure smooth, transparent, and timely resolution of employee grievances across departments.
