New Delhi: Singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh shared an emotional moment with a woman CRPF officer during his live concert in Delhi on Friday, October 30. The singer paused his performance to acknowledge the police and security personnel deployed at the venue, but his interaction with one woman officer became the highlight of the evening.
While addressing the audience, Diljit thanked the security staff for ensuring everyone’s safety and asked the crowd to applaud them. He said that people could enjoy the concert without fear because the police personnel were present to protect them.

“If you were not here, we would not feel safe,” he told the security personnel.
Why Did Diljit Dosanjh Call A CRPF Officer On Stage?
During the interaction, Diljit invited a woman CRPF officer to join him on stage. Speaking to her, he said that looking at her reminded him of his mother.
The singer became emotional as he spoke about how rarely he gets to meet his mother, saying that he may only see her once or twice a year. Seeing the officer standing in front of him, he felt as though his own mother was there.
Diljit also revealed that his mother had called him earlier that day. Recalling their conversation, he said she had asked him to take care of himself. He reassured her that everything was fine and told her not to worry.
As he continued speaking to the officer, Diljit gently placed his hand on her head. The audience responded with loud applause, turning the exchange into one of the most touching moments of the concert.

The singer also expressed his gratitude to the teams that helped organise and manage the Delhi concert.

Diljit’s public appreciation of the police comes months after security arrangements and police action during protests near Jantar Mantar in Delhi attracted attention on social media.
In July, videos circulated online showing confrontations between protesters and security personnel during a march towards Parliament. Against this backdrop, the singer’s decision to publicly acknowledge the police and CRPF personnel at his concert has also drawn attention.
However, the emotional exchange with the woman officer remained the central moment, with Diljit connecting his appreciation for her duty to his own feelings about his mother.
