Chandigarh Announces Temporary Road Closures for T.T. Water Supply Upgrade

Chandigarh: The Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh has announced a series of temporary road closures across key locations in the city to facilitate strengthening of the Tertiary Treated (T.T.) water supply network and the laying of new pipelines in left-out areas. Commuters have been advised to expect delays and plan alternate routes during the scheduled shutdowns.

According to officials, the closures are necessary to complete essential infrastructure work aimed at improving the city’s water distribution system. Each affected stretch will remain inaccessible for a 12-hour period, from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, on the specified dates.

The Municipal Corporation has urged the public to cooperate during this period and use alternative routes to avoid inconvenience. Authorities have also assured that all efforts are being made to complete the work within the stipulated timelines.

Roads will remain closed on different dates between November 18 and 20, 2025, depending on the location. Traffic personnel are expected to be deployed at major intersections to manage movement and guide commuters.
