After visiting the Golden Temple, Abhishek and his mother proceeded to Gurudwara Shaheedan Sahib to offer their respects and pray.
The visit took place as Amritsar witnessed a festive rush of devotees marking the twin occasions. The Golden Temple was illuminated with decorative lights, while worshippers from India and overseas gathered at the shrine to participate in the celebrations and offer prayers.
Abhishek, a native of Amritsar, has become a recognised face in Indian cricket through his attacking approach with the bat. Despite his professional commitments and growing presence on the international stage, he continues to make visits to his hometown.
His appearance at the religious sites on the auspicious occasion added a personal touch to the festival, as he celebrated the day by seeking blessings and praying for the welfare of all.
