Chandigarh: To mark the completion of 25 years of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s public life dedicated to the service of the nation, the nationwide ‘Seva Sankalp’ Abhiyan, to be held from September 17 to October 17, commenced in Gurugram on Thursday. On the first day of the campaign, Haryana Industries and Commerce Minister, Rao Narbir Singh, inaugurated a blood donation camp and a health check-up camp organised in collaboration with SGT University at the Community Centre in Ramnagar (Farrukhnagar).
Addressing the gathering, Rao Narbir Singh extended his heartfelt greetings and best wishes to Prime Minister,Narendra Modi, on his birthday. He said that through the nationwide ‘Seva Sankalp’ Abhiyan, which began today on the occasion of the completion of 25 years of the Prime Minister’s public life dedicated to the service of the nation, priority is being accorded to social service and public welfare.
Encouraging those who came for health check-ups and the blood donors at the camp, he said that every act performed with a spirit of service not only strengthens society but also gives meaningful expression to the resolve of public welfare.
He said that the objective of campaigns such as ‘Seva Sankalp’ is not merely to organise programmes for a day, but to continuously strengthen the spirit of service, health and public welfare in society.
