New Delhi: The Cockroach Janta Party launched a sharp political critique on Sunday against the Bharatiya Janata Party’s newly announced Generation Z outreach campaign, questioning the selection of senior party figures appointed to lead the youth initiative. Party chief spokesperson Saurav Das took aim at the lineup, arguing that the designated leaders lack the credibility needed to engage authentically with younger demographics.
Taking to social media, Das criticized senior leadership over past statements concerning young voters and student demonstrators, asserting that prior rhetoric conflicted with current outreach efforts. He specifically targeted former Union Minister Smriti Irani, scrutinizing her past administration of the education ministry, her handling of student protests, and her academic credentials, stating that these factors compromise the party’s positioning on youth matters.
The criticism comes after the BJP formed a specialized national committee to drive regular interaction with young citizens across the country ahead of key state assembly elections. The outreach effort, designed to foster structured dialogues and forums, aims to understand career aspirations, policy expectations, and economic concerns among emerging voters.
