Shimla: Mayor Shimla Municipal Corporation Surinder Chauhan today called on Governor Kavinder Gupta at Lok Bhavan today. It was a courtesy call. During the meeting, the Governor discussed various issues related to the development and civic infrastructure of Shimla city with the Mayor. Sharing his experience of serving as Mayor Jammu, Shri Gupta emphasised the importance of effective urban planning, civic amenities and coordinated efforts for the sustainable development of the city.
The Governor said that Shimla enjoys a distinct identity globally for its natural beauty, heritage and unique character. It is our shared responsibility to preserve the beauty and grandeur of Shimla while ensuring its planned and sustainable development,” he said.
Surinder Chauhan apprised the Governor of various development projects and initiatives being undertaken by the Municipal Corporation Shimla. Secretary to the Governor Sandeep Bhardwaj was also present on the occasion.
