So far, two bodies have been recovered, and rescue teams are searching for the others.

In Nanded’s Gadegaon area, three people were swept away in a river. Police said one was rescued, while two remain missing. Nashik also reported four people being swept away during immersions, with one body recovered in Sinnar.

Jalgaon witnessed three similar incidents, while in Thane district, three people were carried away during immersions, with one body retrieved so far. In Amravati, another man was feared drowned.

Heavy rainfall across the state has swollen rivers, lakes, and other water bodies, increasing the danger during the festival rituals. State Disaster Response teams and the NDRF have been deployed for ongoing rescue and recovery operations.
