Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said that officials must ensure the timely completion of all ongoing government projects within the stipulated deadlines so that people receive their benefits without delay.
The Chief Minister was chairing the State PRAGATI Project Review Meeting, during which he reviewed in detail 12 projects worth more than Rs. 75 crore and issued necessary directions to the concerned officials.
He directed that the implementation period of any project should not be extended, as delays increase the project cost and impose an additional financial burden on the government. Moreover, such delays prevent citizens from receiving the intended benefits on time. He also directed that solar power systems be installed on the sheds being constructed at the Apple Market, Pinjore, and the International Fruits, Flowers, Vegetables and Horticulture Market at Ganaur to make these mandis self-reliant in terms of electricity.

The Chief Minister said that three air-conditioned sheds have already been constructed in the mandi. Around 20 per cent of the area will be developed as green space, and plantations will also be undertaken along both sides of the roads. He directed officials to make arrangements for a Ranney well, light and sound systems, and facilities for rainwater harvesting and its effective utilisation. He said that the mandi would emerge as one of the finest and most modern agricultural markets in North India, enabling farmers from Uttar Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and other states to market their produce and earn better returns.
Optical Fibre Connectivity to Gram Panchayats in Final Phase
The Chief Minister directed officials to expedite the expansion of BharatNet services to every Gram Panchayat in the state so that high-quality internet connectivity becomes available at the earliest. He said that work to provide optical fibre connectivity to 5,200 Gram Panchayats has reached the final stage, while the remaining nearly 1,000 Gram Panchayats will also be covered soon. Under the scheme, connectivity will be provided to every Gram Panchayat, school, health centre, Anganwadi, e-library and other public institutions.
Seven-Storey 100-Bed Hospital to Come Up in Nuh at a Cost of Rs. 156 Crore
The Chief Minister said that a seven-storey, 100-bed hospital will be constructed in Nuh at an estimated cost of around Rs. 156 crore. Construction of the boundary wall has already commenced, and the project is expected to be completed within the next two years.
He further said that the Rao Tula Ram Shaheed Memorial will be constructed at Nasibpur in Mahendragarh district, for which the architectural drawings are currently being prepared. In addition, the Maratha Shaurya Memorial will be developed over 16 acres of land at Kala Amb in Panipat, and the proposal for the project is under preparation.
Four-Lane Corridor to be Developed up to Pinjore Garden
The Chief Minister said that tenders worth approximately Rs. 152 crore have been floated for the construction of the Apple Market at Pinjore, and work on the project will commence this month. He directed officials to develop a four-lane road up to Pinjore Garden and transform it into an attractive corridor. He also instructed that the Tikkar Tal road be widened and strengthened.
Nayab Singh Saini said that infrastructure including an animal farm, animal sheds and a seed store is being developed at Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Hisar, at a cost of Rs. 153 crore. A Veterinary and Animal Sciences College will also be established there, and the required formalities are being completed.
He further said that the construction of the State-Level Museum in Sector-5, Panchkula, being developed at a cost of Rs. 55 crore, is in its final stage. Tenders for artwork and related works will be invited shortly.
Integrated Manufacturing Cluster in Hisar, Global City in Gurugram
The Chief Minister said that infrastructure is being developed for the Integrated Manufacturing Cluster (IMC) in Hisar at a cost of Rs. 707 crore. The project plan has been finalised, and tenders will be invited shortly. Similarly, work is progressing on the Global City Project in Gurugram at a cost of Rs. 1,003 crore. He directed that the road connecting Global City to Pataudi Road be widened and linked with NH-48 and the Dwarka Expressway.
Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Arun Gupta, Additional Chief Secretaries A.K. Singh, Anurag Agarwal and Vijayendra Kumar, Commissioner and Secretary Amit Agrawal, J. Ganesan, Director General, Information, Public Relations, Language and Culture Department K.M. Pandurang, along with senior officers of various departments, were present at the meeting.
