Chandigarh: In a significant boost for Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata, the Haryana government has announced that the film will be exempt from entertainment tax in the state. The declaration was made by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini during a special screening organised in Chandigarh, where the film’s cast and team interacted with healthcare professionals and public service workers.
The event formed part of an ongoing campaign aimed at acknowledging the dedication of individuals who serve society away from the spotlight. Doctors, nurses, sanitation workers, security personnel and other support staff were felicitated for their contribution, with organisers describing them as the backbone of the nation’s daily functioning.
Expressing her appreciation, actor Kangana Ranaut thanked the Chief Minister for supporting the film and its underlying message. She remarked that the presence of medical professionals at the screening made the occasion even more meaningful, adding that the film is a tribute to those who devote their lives to serving others.
While announcing the tax-free status, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said cinema has the power to inspire social responsibility and encourage positive values. He noted that films carrying meaningful messages deserve wider accessibility so that more people can connect with their themes.
The Chandigarh programme witnessed participation from several ministers, legislators and senior government officials, who joined the screening and the felicitation ceremony. The initiative also recognised local healthcare workers and frontline employees for their commitment and service.
