Cuttack: Police arrested four people on Tuesday for allegedly selling tickets for the India–South Africa T20 match at inflated prices outside Cuttack’s Barabati Stadium.

Officers from Bidanasi police station seized 12 overpriced tickets during the operation, while nine more were recovered in a separate action by Dargha Bazar police. Officials confirmed that four different cases were registered across the two police stations.

Cuttack DCP Khilari Rishikesh Dnyandeo said that strict measures are being taken to stop the black-market sale of match tickets and ensure smooth conduct of the event.

With large crowds expected around Barabati Stadium for the match and team movements on December 8 and 9, authorities have also enforced traffic restrictions across key routes in the city. A police advisory urged commuters to plan their travel in advance and cooperate with traffic personnel.

Restrictions will remain in effect from 12 pm to 9 pm on Monday and from 8 am until the match concludes on Tuesday.
