Governor Prof. Ashim Kumar Ghosh extends greetings to people of Haryana on Independence Day and Hariyali Teej

Chandigarh: Haryana Governor Prof. Ashim Kumar Ghosh has extended his heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the people of the state on the occasion of the 80th Independence Day and the festival of Hariyali Teej.

In a message issued on the eve of occasion here today, the Governor paid rich tribute to the known and unknown heroes of India’s freedom struggle. He said that the dream of an independent India was realised through the indomitable courage, sacrifice and selflessness of countless freedom fighters who devoted their lives to the nation.

The Governor said that the supreme sacrifices made by the great freedom fighters for the country’s independence and security would always be remembered with the highest respect and gratitude. He urged the people to draw inspiration from their spirit of patriotism, unity and dedication to the nation.

Prof. Ashim Kumar Ghosh also extended his warm greetings to the people of Haryana on the auspicious occasion of Hariyali Teej. He said that the festival reflects the rich cultural traditions, faith and social values of Haryana and symbolises happiness, prosperity and harmony.

The Governor called upon the people to celebrate both occasions with a renewed commitment to the ideals of freedom, unity, peace and national progress, while contributing towards building a strong, prosperous and developed Haryana and India
