Nainital: A minibus carrying 21 passengers alongside the driver plunged into a 25-metre-deep gorge on the Ramgarh-Mukteshwar road in Uttarakhand on Friday. Emergency responders quickly mobilized to the scene and successfully evacuated 20 passengers from the wreckage, while specialized rescue personnel deployed metal cutters to extricate one individual who remained trapped inside the damaged vehicle.
Administrative and emergency teams remain stationed at the site overseeing relief and medical assistance. Following the accident, the vehicle’s driver fled the scene, but law enforcement officers launched a search operation and apprehended him shortly afterward.
