New Delhi: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) President Sukhbir Singh Badal arrived at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi on Thursday following a violent attack on him at a gurdwara in Nanded, Maharashtra. Senior SAD leader and former minister Bikram Singh Majithia was present at the airport to receive the party chief.
Upon arrival, Majithia personally drove Badal from the airport directly to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram, where the former Punjab Deputy Chief Minister is scheduled to undergo a comprehensive medical evaluation. Badal had sustained an injury during the incident inside the sacred premises of Takht Sri Hazur Sahib in Nanded earlier this week.
The medical follow-up comes after Badal received initial treatment and remained under observation in Maharashtra before travelling to the national capital. Party leadership and medical specialists are monitoring his recovery to ensure complete healing following the altercation.
