London: Tech magnate Elon Musk sparked international controversy after delivering a virtual address to thousands gathered at an anti-immigration rally in London, where he warned of imminent violence and called for immediate political change in the United Kingdom.

Speaking to a crowd of more than 100,000 at the “Unite the Kingdom” rally, Musk painted a bleak picture of the UK’s future, claiming the nation was heading toward collapse due to unchecked immigration and what he described as a cultural erosion.

“There’s something uniquely powerful about British identity, and what I see now is its destruction in slow motion—only now it’s accelerating,” Musk said during his address. “Violence is coming. You can either fight back or accept your fate.”

Calls for Government Overhaul

Musk didn’t stop at cultural concerns. He went further, openly demanding the immediate dissolution of the current government, calling the leadership under Prime Minister Keir Starmer incapable of addressing the crisis.

“We don’t have years to wait. Change must happen now,” he declared. “A new vote is needed. The country cannot afford more of the same.”

He suggested that the government’s policies on migration and national security were pushing the nation to a breaking point.

Tensions on the Ground

The rally, led by far-right figure Tommy Robinson, quickly escalated into unrest as confrontations broke out between supporters and police. Officers attempting to manage the massive crowd were met with resistance, with several sustaining injuries from thrown objects and physical altercations.

Law enforcement confirmed that over two dozen officers were hurt during the clashes, including serious injuries such as concussions, broken bones, and facial trauma. More than 25 individuals were arrested for a range of offences, including violent disorder, assault, and damage to public property.

Police had deployed more than 1,000 officers to contain the event, and backup riot units were later brought in to control rising tensions.

Violent Rhetoric Raises Alarms

Musk’s speech, laced with combative language, included references to recent incidents abroad. He cited the death of a right-wing activist in the United States as evidence of what he claimed was a growing pattern of politically motivated violence, accusing left-leaning groups of being complicit or celebratory in such events.

“There’s a dangerous precedent being set,” Musk said. “Those who speak out are being targeted. That’s not freedom—it’s the collapse of it.”
