California: Authorities have arrested Jashanpreet Singh, a 21-year-old truck driver of Punjabi origin, following a devastating multi-vehicle collision on the westbound 10 Freeway near the 15 Freeway interchange, which resulted in the deaths of three people. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that the crash occurred during heavy traffic, when Singh allegedly collided with multiple vehicles in succession.
CHP officers stated that the accident took place early Thursday morning, causing severe traffic disruptions on one of Southern California’s busiest freeways. Officer Rodrigo Jimenez confirmed that Singh was immediately taken to a nearby hospital for medical evaluation. During the examination, authorities determined that he was under the influence of drugs at the time of the crash. Singh has been taken into custody, and formal charges are pending further investigation.
