Toronto:Popular Punjabi singer Teji Kahlon has refuted circulating reports claiming she was shot in Canada, dismissing social media posts attributed to the Rohit Godara gang as false and malicious. The singer took to her social media accounts to reassure fans that she is safe and unharmed.
The controversy began on Wednesday when an account allegedly named Mahendra Saran Delana shared a post asserting that Kahlon had been shot in the stomach. The post further alleged that the attack was linked to her supposed support for a rival gang, including providing financial assistance and reconnaissance. The message reportedly warned, “If he doesn’t stop, we will kill him next time.”
Responding to the claims, Kahlon clarified in a social media statement: “I want to inform my fans that I am completely safe and well. False reports are being spread on social media and some news channels claiming I have been shot. I have no quarrel or enmity with anyone. I urge all media outlets to verify information before broadcasting. This misinformation has caused severe mental stress to me and my family. Legal action will be pursued against channels spreading false news.”
Authorities have yet to comment on the alleged gang post, but Kahlon’s clarification appears to counter rumors and put an end to the speculation regarding her safety.
