California: Apple has taken a major leap in artificial intelligence by unveiling a redesigned version of Siri, powered by its latest Apple Intelligence platform, during the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2026. The upgraded assistant is designed to deliver more natural conversations, deeper contextual understanding and seamless integration across Apple’s ecosystem.

The new Siri is capable of understanding personal context, recognizing on-screen content and providing detailed responses using both web-based knowledge and information stored across a user’s devices. Whether retrieving details from emails, messages, photos or calendars, the assistant aims to offer more relevant and personalized support while maintaining user privacy.

One of the key additions is a dedicated Siri application that allows users to revisit previous conversations across multiple Apple devices through secure iCloud synchronization. Apple said the architecture has been built with privacy at its core, ensuring that personal information remains protected while enabling more advanced AI capabilities.

The enhanced assistant will be available across iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch and Apple Vision Pro, offering users the flexibility to interact with Siri from virtually any Apple product. On Mac and iPad, the technology is also integrated into Spotlight search, enabling users to ask complex questions and receive intelligent responses directly from the search interface.

Apple executives described the new Siri as its most significant evolution to date, featuring improved reasoning abilities, more engaging conversations and the capability to perform actions across different applications with greater ease.

Alongside the AI-powered assistant, Apple showcased several software enhancements, including upgraded photo editing tools, new browsing features in Safari and expanded creative options within Image Playground. The company also announced additional safety features designed to help parents create a more secure digital environment for children.

The new AI capabilities are currently available for developers to test, while a public beta rollout is expected later this year before a broader release across supported devices.

Apple said the upcoming software generation focuses not only on artificial intelligence but also on delivering faster performance, improved reliability and a more intuitive user experience, reinforcing its strategy of integrating advanced AI features directly into everyday computing.
