Punjab Launches ‘Pensioner Sewa Portal’ to Benefit Over 3 Lakh Retirees

Chandigarh: Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Cheema on Monday announced the launch of the Pensioner Sewa Portal, a new digital initiative designed to simplify pension-related services for more than 3.15 lakh pensioners across the state.

The portal allows pensioners to access a range of online services, including filing complaints, updating personal details, and tracking queries — all from the comfort of their homes. To start using the system, pensioners are required to complete a one-time e-KYC verification, after which they can access all available features seamlessly.

To enhance support and ensure smooth functioning, the government has established three helpline numbers — 18001802148, 01722996385, and 01722996386 — alongside a dedicated control room to address queries efficiently. The helplines will remain operational from 9 AM to 5 PM every day.

Cheema emphasized that the initiative reflects the government’s commitment to leveraging technology for citizen convenience, especially for the elderly population dependent on timely pension services.
