Chandigarh: The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) has officially postponed the Punjab State Civil Services Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination 2025 in light of recent flood-related disruptions across the state. Originally slated for October 26, the exam will now be held on Sunday, December 7, 2025, providing additional preparation time for candidates affected by the ongoing natural calamity.
The revised schedule was confirmed by PPSC Secretary Charanjit Singh, who stated that the decision was made to ensure fairness and accessibility for all aspirants, particularly those in flood-hit areas.
Exam to Be Conducted in Two Sessions
The preliminary examination will be held in two sessions on the same day, and candidates are advised to plan accordingly. Detailed information regarding the exam schedule, including session timings and exam centre locations, will be available on the admit cards.
“Admit cards will be uploaded approximately 10 days before the exam date,” Charanjit Singh said. “Candidates can download them from the official website using their registration credentials.”
The admit card download link will be made available at the PPSC’s official portal: https://ppsc.gov.in.
Commission Prioritizing Candidate Convenience
The rescheduling decision was taken under the leadership of PPSC Chairman Major General Vinayak Saini (Retd.), who emphasized that the move was aimed at ensuring a level playing field.
“We understand the challenges faced by candidates in flood-affected regions. This additional preparation window allows them to appear for the exam without undue stress,” said the Commission in an official release.
Candidates are encouraged to regularly monitor the PPSC website for the latest announcements, including updates on exam centres, instructions, and other examination-related guidelines.
