Moga: The Punjab Police are intensifying their efforts to make the state drug-free, carrying out strict actions against illegal liquor and anti-social elements under the guidance of SSP Moga Ajay Gandhi and DSP Nihal Singh Wala Anwar Ali, following directives from the Hon’ble DGP Punjab.

A major breakthrough came when the Badhni Kalan police conducted a checkpoint at Malleana Chowk based on a tip-off. ASI Jaswant Singh stated that during patrol, a white Swift Dzire car (PB 23 G 6387) was stopped. A search of the vehicle led to the recovery of 15 crates of country liquor (total 180 bottles) and 5 crates of foreign liquor (total 60 bottles), making a total of 20 crates.

The police arrested the accused, Pritpal Singh alias Ladi, a resident of Akhara, Ludhiana district. A case has been registered against him under the Excise Act, and he has been produced in court for further questioning.

Officials stated that operations against illegal liquor trafficking will continue across the district as part of the broader mission to make Punjab drug-free.
