The project, once operational, will fulfill Ludhiana’s long-standing dream of direct air connectivity, giving a major push to the city’s industrial and economic growth.

Sharing the development on social media, Minister Bittu expressed delight over the progress and announced that a team from the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) will soon visit Ludhiana to conduct a building clearance inspection at Halwara Airport.

“After years of effort and patience from the people of Ludhiana, the long-cherished dream of having an operational airport is finally becoming reality,” he stated.

Bittu emphasized that the move represents a key step toward enhancing Punjab’s air network and aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of boosting regional connectivity and development.
