Ludhiana (Punjab): The long-awaited Halwara Airport project in Ludhiana is finally on the verge of completion, with Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu confirming that it has entered its final approval stage.
The project, once operational, will fulfill Ludhiana’s long-standing dream of direct air connectivity, giving a major push to the city’s industrial and economic growth.
Sharing the development on social media, Minister Bittu expressed delight over the progress and announced that a team from the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) will soon visit Ludhiana to conduct a building clearance inspection at Halwara Airport.
“After years of effort and patience from the people of Ludhiana, the long-cherished dream of having an operational airport is finally becoming reality,” he stated.
Bittu emphasized that the move represents a key step toward enhancing Punjab’s air network and aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of boosting regional connectivity and development.
