Ferozepur: The Border Security Force (BSF) foiled multiple narco-smuggling attempts along the Punjab border, recovering over seven kilograms of heroin and a Hexacopter drone despite ongoing flood challenges in the region.

In Amritsar, alert BSF personnel apprehended a smuggler from a farming field near village Attari with a packet of heroin weighing 490 grams. The accused was later handed over to the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) for further investigation.

In a joint operation with Punjab Police, BSF troops recovered an assembled Hexacopter drone carrying 12 packets of heroin weighing 6.086 kilograms from village JK Singh Wala in Ferozepur.

Later in Fazilka, acting on specific intelligence, BSF recovered another packet of heroin weighing approximately 536 grams near village Chak Wazida.

The series of recoveries underscores the persistent threat posed by Pakistan-backed syndicates using aerial routes for cross-border drug smuggling. BSF officials reaffirmed their commitment to remain vigilant and safeguard Punjab’s borders against narco-terror activities.
