New Delhi— The Delhi government on Saturday announced financial assistance of Rs 5 crore to the Punjab Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, extending support to the flood and disaster-hit regions of the state.
Officials confirmed that in a telephonic conversation hed with Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann he was assured of all possible help in this hour of crisis. The contribution is aimed at strengthening ongoing relief and rehabilitation efforts in Punjab, which has been grappling with severe challenges due to floods and related damages.
The announcement comes at a crucial time as Punjab continues to mobilize resources for flood-affected families, with both state machinery and voluntary organizations engaged in large-scale rehabilitation work.
With this move, Delhi has joined the list of states expressing solidarity with Punjab and contributing towards its recovery drive. Further aid measures may also be considered depending on the evolving situation.
