Chandigarh: The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has officially announced the Class 12 examination results for 2026, highlighting a spectacular performance by female students who captured the top three positions in the province. In a rare and historic display of academic perfection, all three toppers achieved a flawless score of 500 out of 500 marks, reaching a 100 per cent success rate. Students can now verify their individual scores by visiting the official website of the education department at www.pseb.ac.in. During a press conference, board officials confirmed that 265,417 students appeared for the exams this year, with 242,755 successfully qualifying, resulting in a robust overall pass percentage of 91.46 per cent.

The first position was claimed by Supneet Kaur from Gurukul Academy Public School, Ubha, located in the Mansa district. As a representative of the Science stream, her perfect score sets a high bar for technical excellence. The second and third ranks were secured by Humanities students from Ludhiana: Sohni Chauhan of BCM Public Senior Secondary School and Divanshi from Teja Singh Sutantar Memorial School in Shimla Puri. Beyond their classroom achievements, it was noted that all three toppers are active athletes, showcasing the successful integration of sports and rigorous academics within the provincial school system.

This year’s results continue a consistent trend of female students outshining their peers in the provincial board examinations. The fact that the top positions were shared between the Science and Humanities streams demonstrates a broad level of talent across different academic disciplines in Punjab. Education officials praised the hard work of the students and the dedication of their teachers, noting that such high-calibre results reflect the strengthening quality of secondary education in the region. As these young women prepare for their higher education journeys, they serve as significant role models for future cohorts across the country.
