New Delhi: Arvind Kejriwal, the National Convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party, stated on Wednesday that India’s Gen Z youth must initiate large-scale protests, similar to those seen in Nepal, to effectively combat the recurring issue of examination paper leaks. Addressing the media following the recent cancellation of the NEET-UG examination, Kejriwal emphasized that systemic change would only occur if the younger generation took to the streets to demand accountability. He argued that the integrity of national examinations is currently under threat, requiring a robust public response to ensure a fair future for all students.

The senior AAP leader provided a scathing critique of the central government’s track record, alleging that at least 93 examination papers have been leaked across the country since 2014. Kejriwal specifically pointed toward provinces governed by the Bharatiya Janata Party, such as Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Gujarat, as being the most severely impacted. He claimed that these incidents have jeopardized the career prospects of more than 60 million students and job aspirants, particularly in regions where the “double-engine” government model is in place.

Supporting these remarks, former Delhi Chief Minister Atishi also directed sharp criticism toward the central administration, alleging that the NEET paper has leaked four times during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s tenure. In a video shared on social media, she questioned why those responsible for these security breaches consistently manage to evade punishment. Atishi highlighted the emotional and professional toll on millions of students whose years of hard work are often rendered meaningless in a matter of minutes due to administrative failures.

The Aam Aadmi Party leadership has called on the Prime Minister to provide a direct explanation to the nation’s youth regarding the persistent failures in examination security. They maintain that the lack of stringent action against culprits suggests a level of protection that must be addressed. As the debate over academic integrity intensifies, the party continues to advocate for a complete overhaul of the examination process to restore public trust and protect the futures of millions of aspiring professionals across the country.
