Jalandhar: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President Nitin Nabin declared that the party is actively working toward establishing its independent government in Punjab. Highlighting recent political transitions in other states, Nabin expressed absolute confidence that the party would replicate its electoral victories and secure a decisive mandate in the region. The statements were made during his three-day organisational tour of the state, which commenced with a visit to the Golden Temple in Amritsar before transitioning to Jalandhar, where he was received by a massive gathering of party cadres and local supporters.
During a media interaction, the BJP chief lauded Punjab as a historic land of soldiers, martyrs, and spiritual leaders whose teachings have permanently unified and strengthened the cultural identity of the nation. Drawing parallels to successful territorial expansions in prior political campaigns, Nabin emphasised that the growing public trust in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s administrative model would serve as the primary catalyst for change in Punjab. He reiterated that a future BJP administration would prioritise economic growth while firmly upholding regional security and state culture.
The organisational tour featured a high-profile roadshow through the streets of Jantar-dominated Jalandhar, where Nabin was accompanied by senior party leader and Rajya Sabha MP Tarun Chugh. Confronting the state’s political status quo, Chugh asserted that the influence of the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has entered a definitive decline, signalling the commencement of the BJP’s victory march. Echoing these sentiments, Punjab BJP President Kewal Singh Dhillon noted that public enthusiasm has reached unprecedented levels, with citizens expressing a strong desire for a swift political transition to accelerate state welfare initiatives.
