Jalandhar: Delhi’s former Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Coordinator Arvind Kejriwal has arrived in Punjab for a two-day visit. During the tour, he will be accompanied by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and will inaugurate several major projects in the state.
On the first day in Jalandhar, Kejriwal will oversee the launch of power transmission and distribution projects worth Rs 5,000 crore, aimed at strengthening Punjab’s electricity infrastructure. Following this, he will attend the ‘One India 2025 National Cultural Festival’ at Lovely Professional University (LPU) as the chief guest, highlighting the state’s focus on cultural promotion and youth engagement.
On the second day, the leaders will lay the foundation stone for 3,100 new playgrounds across Punjab, with a total investment of Rs 1,184 crore, to provide modern sports facilities for children and youth. Later in the afternoon, Kejriwal and CM Mann will jointly launch the Entrepreneurship Mindset Course in Chandigarh, aimed at fostering innovation and entrepreneurial skills among young Punjabis.
Kejriwal had previously visited Punjab on September 5, 2025, to assess flood-affected areas. During that visit, due to CM Mann’s health concerns, Kejriwal toured districts with AAP Punjab Chief Aman Arora and urged citizens to support development initiatives in the state.
This two-day visit underscores AAP’s focus on infrastructure development, youth empowerment, and cultural engagement in Punjab.
