Ferozepur: Punjab’s intensified crackdown on narcotics delivered another major success after the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) arrested Sandeep Singh, a key figure linked to a large cross-border heroin smuggling syndicate.

The Punjab DGP shared the development on X, confirming that the ANTF recovered 50 kg of heroin during an intelligence-driven operation. Officials stated that the drug consignment was part of a trans-border supply chain originating from Pakistan and facilitated by ISI-backed smugglers.

Initial investigations suggest that the arrested accused has a history of involvement in multiple NDPS Act cases. He had recently secured bail before resuming illegal activities. Police teams are now examining his forward and backward linkages to identify additional members of the network.

Authorities indicated that more arrests and recoveries are expected as the probe continues. The Punjab Police reiterated their commitment to a drug-free Punjab and emphasized that operations against trafficking syndicates will continue with full force.
