Fatehgarh Sahib: A shocking murder case has emerged from Khamano town in Punjab’s Fatehgarh Sahib district, where a 19-year-old youth was allegedly stabbed to death with sharp-edged weapons by his own friends following a minor dispute.

The deceased, identified as Manvinder Singh, was the only son of his parents and studied at a private school in Khamano. According to family members, a small argument escalated into violence, after which Manvinder’s friends allegedly attacked him with kirpans, killing him on the spot. The accused fled the scene immediately after the incident.

Manvinder’s uncle, Surinder Singh, said he was standing on Khanna Road when he heard screams from nearby. On rushing to the spot, he found his nephew lying critically injured after being attacked by his companions. Manvinder succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

The victim’s family has demanded the immediate arrest of the accused and the strictest possible action against those involved in the killing. They described the incident as a brutal and senseless act that has left the family devastated.

Meanwhile, officials at Khamano police station refrained from making an official statement on the matter. However, police sources confirmed that statements have been recorded against the accused and an investigation into the murder is underway.
