Kapil Sharma’s Surrey Café Attacked Again; Bishnoi Gang Issues Threat to Target Mumbai Next

Surrey: Comedian and Indian entertainment star Kapil Sharma’s café in Surrey, Canada, was attacked for the second time in less than a month. Unknown assailants opened fire on Kap’s Café, located at 85 Avenue and Scott Road, early Thursday morning, leaving behind six bullet holes and smashed windows, according to initial reports.

Local eyewitness Bob Singh, who called 1130 NewsRadio after the shooting, said, “I saw it from my patio. I heard five or six gunshots, and then the police arrived.”

The Surrey Police responded promptly and launched an investigation. Officers are now reviewing CCTV footage to identify the attackers. As of now, no arrests have been made, and the motive remains under investigation.

Soon after the incident, a chilling post circulated on social media claiming responsibility. The message, allegedly from Goldie Dhillon and the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, stated that Sharma was warned earlier but did not respond. The post threatened, “We called him, but he did not hear the ring, so action had to be taken there. Now, if he does not hear the ring, the next action will be taken in Mumbai.”

The Mumbai Police have been notified about the online threat and are working to verify its authenticity.

This is not the first time Kap’s Café has been targeted. In July, the establishment was attacked in a similar manner. Harjit Singh Laddi, an operative of the banned terror outfit Babbar Khalsa International (BKI), claimed responsibility, citing offensive remarks made by Sharma on his show that allegedly insulted Nihang Sikhs.

The Surrey Police are investigating potential links between the two attacks, exploring whether both incidents are part of a broader campaign against the comedian.

Authorities in both Canada and India are on alert as the investigation unfolds.
