Chandigarh: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) carried out another search operation at the Chandigarh residence of Punjab Industries and Power Minister Sanjeev Arora on Saturday as part of its continuing investigation.
Several ED teams arrived at the minister’s residence early in the day, with nearly eight official vehicles stationed outside during the proceedings. The operation drew attention as it marked the third such search at Arora’s residence in recent weeks.
The central agency has been examining allegations related to suspected violations of foreign exchange regulations. Earlier, on April 17, ED officials had searched multiple locations connected to Arora, including residential and business premises, in connection with the same probe.
The latest development also follows recent enforcement action at the Kharar residence of Nitin Gohal, an alleged liaison agent, located at Western Towers. Investigators are believed to be looking into possible financial links and transactions as part of the wider inquiry.
Officials have not yet released an official statement detailing the findings of Saturday’s searches. The investigation remains ongoing, with further developments expected as scrutiny intensifies around the case.
