New Delhi: Popular YouTuber and reality TV personality Anurag Dobhal, widely known online as UK07 Rider, has posted an emotional video on social media in which he alleged prolonged mental harassment from his family over his inter-caste marriage. In the video, he described it as his “final vlog” and announced his decision to step away from YouTube.
Dobhal, who gained national recognition after appearing on the reality show Bigg Boss 17, shared the lengthy video on his channel and Instagram account, claiming that the past few months had taken a severe emotional toll on him.
In the recording, the YouTuber spoke about the struggles he has faced throughout his life. He recalled being diagnosed with a brain tumour at the age of 14 and spoke about financial challenges and family pressure regarding his education. According to him, he worked as a tutor to support himself and pursue his goals.
Marriage dispute with family
Dobhal also opened up about his relationship with his wife, Ritika. He said the two first connected through social media when she reached out to him repeatedly as a fan over several years. The friendship eventually turned into a relationship, and the couple dated for around two years before deciding to marry.
However, Dobhal claimed that his family strongly opposed the relationship because it was an inter-caste marriage. According to him, tensions escalated shortly before the wedding.
In the video, he alleged that just days before the ceremony, his parents declined to attend the event, forcing him to make arrangements alone. He further claimed he was pressured to apologise to relatives and was emotionally humiliated during family confrontations.
Emotional distress and serious claims
The YouTuber said the rejection and conflict left him deeply distressed. In the video, he admitted he had attempted to harm himself and described struggling with severe depression. He also said he had not eaten for several days and felt mentally exhausted.
Dobhal further alleged that conflicts within the family extended to disputes over property and personal belongings, accusing his brother of taking control of his assets and even his pets. The video included what he claimed were pieces of evidence supporting his allegations.
He also spoke about difficulties in his marriage, stating that his wife had recently left him. Dobhal expressed disappointment that she had believed others rather than supporting him during the dispute.
Online reaction and concern
The video quickly spread across social media platforms, sparking concern among fans and followers who have been urging the YouTuber to seek support and professional help.
Dobhal married Ritika in May last year, and the couple had shared wedding photos and videos online. A few months later, they also announced that they were expecting their first child.
As of now, no official response has been issued by members of Dobhal’s family regarding the allegations made in the video.
