New Delhi- Hundreds of activists belonging to the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal staged a protest outside the Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi on Tuesday, condemning what they described as rising communal violence against Hindus in the neighbouring country. The demonstration led to tense moments in the high-security diplomatic zone as protesters surged towards police barricades.

Anticipating the protest, authorities had significantly tightened security around the High Commission premises. The area was cordoned off with multiple layers of barricading, and additional personnel from the Delhi Police and paramilitary forces were deployed to prevent any breach.

Despite the security arrangements, protesters attempted to move past the barricades, forcing police to intervene to maintain order. The demonstrators raised slogans against the Bangladesh government and displayed banners and placards expressing anger over the recent lynching of a Hindu man in Bangladesh. One placard read, “Hindu rakt ki ek ek boond ka hisaab chahiye” (Each drop of Hindu blood must be accounted for).

Police officials said the situation was brought under control after sustained efforts, and no injuries were reported. Security remained heightened in the area as a precautionary measure.
