Dhar: Six residents of Gujarat lost their lives on Sunday afternoon following a devastating collision between a container truck and a car in the Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh. The fatal accident took place around 1:30 PM near Panchak Vasa, situated approximately four kilometres from Badnawar town. The victims were travelling in their vehicle when the incoming heavy transport vehicle crashed into them, resulting in immediate fatalities at the scene.
According to local law enforcement authorities, the container truck loaded with goods was originating from Ujjain when the incident occurred along the highway stretch. Additional Superintendent of Police Parul Belapurkar confirmed that all six occupants travelling inside the car succumbed to their injuries on the spot due to the intense impact of the crash. Police teams immediately dispatched to the site secured the area and initiated preliminary procedures.
The driver of the container truck involved in the fatal mishap has been taken into police custody, and an investigation has been launched to determine the precise circumstances surrounding the collision. Preliminary inquiries suggest the vehicle may have swerved onto the wrong side of the road, and authorities are currently verifying all factual details, including driver sobriety and mechanical conditions.
