Rival Coaching Director Roshan Anand Gets Bail in Khan Sir Coaching Centre Vandalism Case

Patna: A Patna court on Monday granted bail to Roshan Anand, director of a coaching institute and one of the accused in the vandalism case involving the coaching centre of popular educator Faisal Khan, widely known as Khan Sir.

The case stems from an incident earlier this month when Khan Global Coaching Institute in Patna was allegedly attacked by a group of miscreants who vandalised property and pelted stones at the premises. Following the incident, Khan Sir had initially claimed that gunshots were fired during the attack. However, police investigations could not immediately verify the allegation. The educator later stated that the ongoing probe would establish the exact sequence of events.

Police arrested three individuals in connection with the incident, including Roshan Anand, who runs a rival coaching institute.

Following the court’s decision to grant bail, Anand’s counsel, advocate Niranjan Kumar Singh, alleged that the case against his client was politically motivated and based on fabricated allegations.

The lawyer argued that Section 109 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), relating to attempted murder, had been wrongly invoked as investigators failed to establish the essential legal ingredients of intention, knowledge, or the accused’s presence at the scene of the alleged offence.

Singh further claimed that Anand was jailed on the basis of a conspiracy and statements made by Khan Sir regarding the alleged firing incident. According to the defence, there was insufficient evidence linking Anand directly to the attack.

The advocate also accused Khan Sir of using his influence to damage Anand’s reputation and questioned the handling of related legal proceedings. He alleged that despite facing serious allegations under non-bailable provisions of the Arms Act in a counter-FIR, Khan Sir secured interim relief while allegedly withholding key facts.

The case has attracted significant public attention due to Khan Sir’s popularity among competitive exam aspirants and the growing rivalry among major coaching institutes in Bihar. The investigation into the vandalism incident and related allegations remains ongoing.
