Aurangabad (Bihar)— Police recovered 47 detonators and fuse wires buried nearly 20 feet deep inside a cave in Madanpur, Aurangabad district, during an explosives detection operation.

According to Madanpur Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Amit Kumar, the recovery was made after the detection device beeped at a particular point inside the cave. The area was cautiously excavated, leading to the discovery of the explosives.

“All recovered detonators were safely destroyed on-site after proper verification,” SDPO Kumar said, confirming that no additional explosive materials were found in the vicinity.

Police officials said the operation was part of an ongoing effort to detect and eliminate hidden explosives in areas that were once affected by Naxal activity.
