New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi engaged in an extensive interaction with chief executive officers and founders of India’s foremost space startups in New Delhi on Sunday, lauding their entrepreneurial drive, ambitious vision, and technological ingenuity. The high-level meeting, convened on the occasion of National Space Day, centred on harnessing private sector dynamism to expand India’s footprint in the burgeoning global space economy while directing advanced technologies toward addressing grassroots societal needs.
During the dialogue, the Prime Minister commended the founders for their optimism and forward-looking approach, encouraging them to look beyond traditional aerospace applications. He urged entrepreneurs to discover practical avenues where satellite data, geospatial mapping, and space-based technologies could streamline public administration, enhance daily living, and resolve complex challenges across sectors such as agriculture, disaster management, and urban planning.
Emphasising the vital role of stable governance in nurturing high-tech industries, Modi noted that consistency in government policy remains a cornerstone of the country’s space reforms.
