Jaisalmer: Around 15 school children had a narrow escape on Tuesday morning when the bus they were travelling in caught fire in Rajasthan’s Jaisalmer district. According to police officials, the bus was heading from Jaisalmer toward nearby rural areas to transport students when the vehicle suddenly burst into flames. The quick action of the driver and staff ensured that all children on board were safely evacuated before the fire spread across the bus.
Observing the rising flames, nearby residents alerted emergency services and the local municipal council. A fire engine was dispatched immediately to the location, where firefighters successfully brought the blaze under control and extinguished it. Police authorities confirmed that no casualties or injuries occurred during the emergency, adding that an investigation has been initiated to determine the exact cause of the sudden fire.
