Recent Seismic History in Palghar

This event follows another low-intensity tremor that occurred just days prior:

  • July 25, 2026: A tremor measuring 3.1 on the Richter scale was recorded in the Ganjad area of Dahanu taluka at 10:57 am.

  • Regional Context: The Palghar belt, particularly the Dahanu and Talasari tehsils, has a historical propensity for experiencing low-intensity seismic tremors. While the region had experienced a period of relative seismic calm, these consecutive events have prompted local authorities to remain on high alert.
