Man Dies by Suicide After Jumping from Haryana Civil Secretariat in Chandigarh

Chandigarh: A man allegedly died by suicide after jumping from the eighth floor of the Haryana Civil Secretariat on Monday, causing panic within the premises.

The deceased has been identified as Balwant Singh, a resident of Panchkula. According to initial reports, he had entered the Secretariat using a visitor pass and was reportedly there to meet an official.

Police and administrative officials reached the spot soon after the incident and initiated preliminary inquiries. The area was briefly cordoned off as authorities assessed the situation.

Officials said further investigation is underway to ascertain the circumstances that led to the incident.
