Mumbai— An IndiGo flight travelling from Kuwait to Hyderabad was diverted to Mumbai on Tuesday after Delhi Airport authorities received an email claiming that a “human bomb” was on board the aircraft. Officials treated the threat as serious and immediately activated emergency protocols.

The flight is expected to land in Mumbai shortly, where security agencies have been placed on high alert. Emergency responders and specialised security teams are stationed at the airport, prepared for any situation. Authorities are closely monitoring developments.

So far, there is no official statement from IndiGo, and details regarding the number of passengers on board have not been released.

The incident comes just a day after a private school in Mira Road, Thane district of Maharashtra, received a bomb threat via email. The message, sent around 6:30 am, claimed that an explosive device had been planted inside the school. A bomb detection and disposal team conducted an extensive search, after which the threat was declared a hoax.
