Home Ministry Confers ‘Kendriya Grihmantri Dakshata Padak’ to 1,466 Police Personnel for Outstanding Service

New Delhi: The Union Ministry of Home Affairs on Friday announced the names of 1,466 police personnel from across India who will receive the Kendriya Grihmantri Dakshata Padak for the year 2025. The recognition honors individuals for their exceptional professionalism and exemplary contributions in maintaining law and order and advancing investigative excellence.

According to the Home Ministry, the award acknowledges personnel who have demonstrated exceptional skill and dedication in four key areas—special operations, investigation, intelligence, and forensic science. The initiative aims to boost morale and encourage high standards of performance among law enforcement and security agencies.

Instituted on February 1, 2024, the Dakshata Padak is presented annually to members of state and Union Territory police forces, Central Armed Police Forces, intelligence units, and forensic science departments. The announcement coincides with the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, celebrated nationwide as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day).

An official statement noted that the list of awardees has been made available on the Ministry of Home Affairs’ website. By recognizing achievements in diverse domains of policing, the ministry reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening internal security and fostering professional excellence across India’s law enforcement network.

The Kendriya Grihmantri Dakshata Padak is part of the government’s broader effort to honor those who uphold the integrity, discipline, and dedication that define India’s police and security services.
