Gwalior: Five people were killed early Sunday when an SUV crashed into a tractor-trolley in Madhya Pradesh’s Gwalior district, police said.

The collision took place around 6 am near Malwa College under the Jhansi Road police station area, about 20 kilometres from the district headquarters. Superintendent of Police Robin Jain said all five occupants of the SUV died on the spot due to the impact.

Police have begun investigating the accident and are reviewing CCTV footage from nearby locations to determine whether negligence was involved or if the tractor-trolley had entered the road from the wrong direction.

The victims have been identified as Kshitij alias Prince Rajawat, Kaushal Bhadoriya, Aditya Pratap Singh Jadaun, Abhimanyu Singh, and Shivam Rajpurohit — all residents of Deendayal Nagar in Gwalior.
